Key Responsibilities:
- Field Oversight: Provide on-site engineering support for geotechnical construction projects, focusing on deep foundations and earth retention systems.
- Technical Assistance: Assist in the implementation of construction plans, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, construction crews, and clients to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving on site.
- Data Collection: Gather and analyze data related to site conditions, material properties, and construction methods to inform project decisions.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Ideal Candidate:
- Education: A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in geotechnical construction or a related field, preferably with exposure to deep foundation systems (such as drilled shafts, micropiles, and driven piles) and earth retention techniques (including sheet piles, soldier piles, and soil nail walls).
- Field Experience: Hands-on experience in a field engineering role is preferred, with a willingness to learn and adapt to project requirements.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with project teams and clients.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with construction management and geotechnical software tools is beneficial.
