Graduate HV Engineer / Graduate High Voltage Engineer required for secondment into Northern Powergrid.

To be considered for this career-building opportunity, it is essential you have a BEng or MSc / MEng in an Electrical Engineering subject (such as Electrical and Electronic, Electrical Power and Energy Systems, Power Systems). You must have studied modules relating to high voltage engineering and it is also essential to have experience using AutoCAD and power systems software (eg. DigSilent, IPSA or ETAP). A driving licence is also beneficial.

The role is to design LV and 11kV connections, so some experience of HV network / power distribution design would be advantageous. 

Strong theoretical knowledge of HV networks and the first principles of electrical engineering is required.
