Ideally based in the South East (Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire) but willing to work away when required, the Cable Jointer with hold relevant and in-date authorisations and perform the following duties:
- Install, joint, terminate, repair and maintain HV cables
- Inspect cable joints to ensure quality of work and compliance with industry standards
- Use hand and power tools safely
- Locate and identify cable faults
- Carry out cable tests - insulation, voltage, sheath, phasing and pressure
- Adhere to safe working practices at all times
- Work with colleagues to identify issues and come up with solutions
- Keep a record of completed works
Qualifications / Experience:
- Authorised HV Cable Jointer (11kV, 33kV, DNO, private network, ICP etc)
- Excellent teamworking, communication and problem-solving skills
- Track record of safe working in the industry
- Driving licence
