The Signalling Design Engineer will be responsible for the production of signalling system designs, covering standard trackside equipment, as well as more complex projects.
Duties:
- Carrying out design and design checks of signalling systems, in accordance with standards, industry codes and Signalling Design Specifications
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcome
- Provide guidance to junior design engineers
- Assist with design risk assessments
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in signalling design for the rail sector is essential
- Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, degree, or equivalent)
- Experience of the following is beneficial - LAP, scheme plans, specifications. Fringe Designs, SSI Wiring, SSI (Westlock) data and control systems
- IRSE Signalling Designer and Verifier Licence (desirable)
