Deploy Recruitment Group are seeking a Systems /Software Engineer for an initial 6 Month period
The Role:
Integration and testing of the interfaces between supplier subsystems to the clients ETCS OBU Trainguard 200 and to the UK Freight Electric, Diesel Electric/Diesel vehicles.
You will be required to integrate subsystems on Test and Integration rigs.
Update the system with new software and test prior to release for Test Support. The Test team will troubleshoot the defects found.
Roll out, test and troubleshoot software updates to systems installed on the vehicles therefore although some remote working is possible, you will be required to work on-site in the integration and test lab, at installers vehicle depots
You will be expected to configure data on the ETCS OBU System and maintain bespoke newly developed software.
The role also requires responsibility for requirements capture, development, and implementation of a remote data networking solution.
Methods and Tools:
Experience in using C++, C# Java, Python, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery and shell scripting, Git, Jira, Bugzilla, OpenGL, IBM DOORS
VOIP packet level diagnostics
Networking: (BIND/dnsmasq, dhcpd, tftp, OpenVPN)
Custom Linux systems server to embedded applications
Serial BUS analysis (RS485, MVB)
Experience:
Rail Vehicle Acceptance Testing, Instrumentation and Software Development
Railway signalling, OTMR, TPWS, ETCS
Experience of regulatory standards
Development of Safety related software
Design/Integration for RIA12 and EN 50155
Competence in Software Clearing
Qualifications:
BEng Computer Science/Software Engineering/Electrical & Electronic Engineering
