Superintendent – Foundation Drilling

Location: USA - Nationwide Travel

Our client is a reputable specialty deep foundation contractor seeking an experienced Foundation Drilling Superintendent to oversee crew operations on key infrastructure projects. If you're a hands‑on leader who ensures quality, safety, and cost effectiveness every day on site, this role could be a great match.


What you'll be doing

  • Oversee all day‑to‑day activities of the foundation installation crew, ensuring safe, effective, and technically sound execution.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, permits, and site requirements.

  • Supervise crew members and subcontractors to maintain high standards and meet client expectations.

  • Track and manage equipment condition, maintenance, inventory, and spare parts availability.

  • Conduct or monitor site safety briefings and ensure safe working conditions at all times.

  • Perform quality assurance inspections and monitor QC methods and reporting.

  • Monitor on‑site costs and compare progress against budget estimates, reporting variances to the Project Manager.

  • Participate in operational planning sessions with Project Manager and Engineer, and attend project start‑up and progress meetings.

  • Prepare activity, safety, and progress reports; flag issues to the Project Manager for prompt resolution. 


What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years supervising foundation drilling or similar operations on technically challenging projects.

  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and installation methods.

  • Excellent communication skills - able to coordinate with crew, subcontractors, engineers, and clients.

  • Experienced in site supervision, safety management, and quality control practices.

  • Track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

  • Reliable, organized, and able to make real‑time decisions in a dynamic, field‑based work environment.
