HS2 Partners with Flannery to Offer 1,000 Free Construction Training Opportunities

At Deploy, we're committed to supporting the communities where we operate. That's why we're excited to share that our partner, HS2, has secured funding for 1,000 new training opportunities through their subcontractor, Flannery Plant Hire.
As infrastructure and technology experts, we understand the importance of upskilling local talent to meet the demands of major projects like HS2. The Operator Skills Hubs, run by Flannery in collaboration with HS2's main works contractors, offer a range of specialist training programmes designed to prepare candidates for roles in plant operations.
The two-week 'Skills Bootcamp' is particularly noteworthy, as it provides compliant, sector-specific training and accreditation at no cost to local residents over 19. This solution is perfect for those seeking a career change or looking to develop new skills in a short timeframe.
We're thrilled to see the positive impact these hubs are already having. Take Leoni Moore from Northamptonshire, for example. After completing her training, she's now qualified to drive a 25-tonne grader, making her the first woman in the UK to achieve this under the Construction Plant Competence Scheme.
As HS2 approaches its peak construction phase, these training opportunities will play a vital role in addressing local skills shortages, boosting
diversity in UK rail, and creating a long-term talent pipeline. By investing in the community and offering technology-driven solutions, HS2 and Flannery are ensuring that skilled individuals are ready to support not only HS2 but also future infrastructure projects.
At Deploy, we're proud to be part of this initiative and remain committed to delivering quality and safe turnkey solutions that benefit both our clients and the communities we serve. If you’d like to learn more about these construction training opportunities or discuss how we can support your project needs, please don't hesitate to get in touch with our team of specialists.
